Better Fish. Better Lives.

For over four decades, Andromeda, Nireus, and Selonda have cultivated and distributed the finest fish from the Mediterranean Sea. Their merger into Avramar marked the creation of the Mediterranean’s leading aquaculture company, built on a foundation of passion, innovation, and unwavering commitment to partnership. The Vivaldi team and I designed a new visual identity that would not only exemplify their new brand direction, but also unify these major players together under a new entity.

  • With three major players coming together, each with their own history, culture, and identity, a new brand was needed that would not only exemplify their new direction, but also unify the company internally. These organizations, once fierce competitors, now faced the challenge of aligning under a shared purpose with a foundation of mutual respect and value of one another.

  • The new brand system emphasizes partnership, both in how Avramar collaborates with its clients, and in how the founding companies have come together for the greater good. While empowering its distributors, retailers, and fishmongers through close collaboration, it also embodies the merger’s core values, showing that Avramar doesn’t just talk partnership, it lives it. Through shared decision-making, transparent communication, and joint problem-solving, every aspect of the brand reinforces genuine cooperation. Consequently the brand is more than a promise, it’s proof of how the merged organization builds trust and mutual growth both externally and internally.

  • The visual identity draws directly from the phenomenon of a school of fish. Just as a school navigates the ocean more efficiently together than a single fish alone, Avramar’s logo embodies the unity of its merger and honors each founding company. A royal blue evokes a sense of the vastness and depth of the sea that represents the wild nature of how the fish are farmed, and the gold exemplifies the quality of their product and their commitment to excellence. The typography style is inspired by artisanal brands that nod to history that Avarmar has operating in the Mediterranean Sea, and a subtle scale texture is utilized to speak to their quality of their product.

    The combination of these elements, marine-inspired hues, heritage-rooted typography, and a subtle scale texture, creates a cohesive visual language that guides all touchpoints and reflects Avramar’s commitment to unity, tradition, and premium quality.

Outcomes & Reflection

The launch of Avramar’s new visual identity encouraged a stronger sense of unity among teams and conveyed a clear, cohesive brand story to partners and audiences. By focusing on shared values—symbolized through the school-of-fish motif, marine-inspired colors, and heritage-driven typography—the company found that stakeholders both inside and outside the organization could more easily align around a common purpose. In reflecting on the process, it became clear that grounding the brand in a meaningful metaphor helped bridge diverse traditions and foster genuine collaboration.
